Theatre programmes are defined by the content supplied by the different theatre agencies. It then becomes a balancing act to create a design style for the programme that allows each of the different productions to work independently but in the best possible overall way. After establishing the typographic style, the design used bold colour to make the spreads work together, with each spread having its own layout, defined primarily by the format of the photography. A fun design to work on but complex because of the problem of fitting different amounts of copy and imagery into a restricted space.
